1. The Last of Us: This is actually a no brainer. First of all, it's zombies. Second of all, it isn't just zombies, it's a character study depicting the human condition. What lengths will we go to survive? How do you carry on when all hope seems lost? That's the most important part of the success of the game. We can talk about the incredible art direction depicting a post-apocolyptic U.S. or the strong overall design, but for a video game to resonate so much emotion while tracking the relationship of the two main characters is something to marvel at. WAIT! This game is already being turned into a movie... whoops. Well, either way it deserves to be at the top of this list. It was already been announced that the film will retain the storyline and that Sam Raimi, best known for the Evil Dead series, is set to produce. This is one to add to your watch list.
